Within 10 min. walking distance from Plaka and Acropolis.
Considered among the greatest monuments prodused dy western civilization, Acropolis and Parthenon was created to honor the goddess Athena. Acropolis is probably the most well known archeological site in the world. A visit will leave you spellbound. A small, adjacent museum is open daily.
Around Acropolis, lies Plaka, the oldest and the most picturesque quarter of Athens, with narrow streets, low houses, neoclassical mansions, traditional taverns, night clubs, tourist shops etc.
Don’t neglect to visit these monuments, which sealed with their presence the glory that was Athens and to wander around Athens of today, especially around Plaka, that throbs with life throughout the year. Also Fillopappou hill is just across Acropolis.
Starting from the Marble house hotel, you can reach any point in Athens very quickly and easily, using public transportation and simple walking.

Transportation guidelines

 

Buses: 2 min. walk (closest Zinni stop at Dimitrakopoulou street)
Metro(underground): 3 min. walk (closest Syngrou-Fix stop at Syngrou Avenue)
Taxi: can be orderd from the reception to pick you up any time.
From the Airport: Please pick up only Metro line no.3 (not "PROASTIAKOS"), you get off on SYNTAGMA station. Change line, line 2 direction to Agios Dimitrios, and then you get off again on SYNGROU-FIX stop. From where our hotel is within a 5 minutes walk (on Syngrou avenue No100 turn right on AN. ZINNI street & then take a right turn again on the 3rd street up which is a dead-end street "cul-de-sac").
From Pireus port: Pick up the metro (there is only one line) and you get of in Omonia stop then you change line (line 2 to Agios Dimitrios) and you get off to Syngrou-Fix station.
By taxi: 35 min. from the airport 15 min. from the port (depending on the traffic).
